After launching Windows 10, it has already got two major updates called November Update and Anniversary Update. Although the initial version of Windows 10 came with tons of new features yet, you will get even more functions with these two updates. If you have installed these two updates, this is great. But, if you haven’t done that already, do it quickly, and this is just a tip. Windows 10 comes with colorless title bars. Not only Windows title bars but also you cannot find any color in Action Center, Taskbar and Start Menu by default. This article will help you to get colored Window title bars on Windows 10 without using any third party tool.
Get Colored Window Title Bars on Windows 10
Like said before, this will be done with the help of an inbuilt option, and that means, you do not have to download any third party software to get things done. However, if you haven’t downloaded the Windows 10 Anniversary Update, you may not find these following steps familiar with your computer.
At first, open the Settings panel of Windows 10. For that, you can just type Win + I, or you can search for that in Taskbar search box. On the other hand, this is also possible to open the same from Start Menu and Action Center. After opening that, go to Personalization > Colors. Here you can get three different options to customization. They are,
- Make Start, Taskbar, and action center transparent
- Show color on Start, Taskbar, and action center
- Show color on title bar
Obviously, the first option is not needed in this case. Therefore, just turn on the third option, which says Show color on title bar.
After toggling the button, you can find colored Window title bars on Windows 10.
Show color on Start, Taskbar, and action center
You might have seen that the default Start menu, taskbar, and action center has no color at all. Therefore, if you want to show color on Start, Taskbar and action center, you can go to the same page and turn on the setting called Show color on Start, Taskbar, and action center.
Show color on Start, Taskbar, and action center but not on Title bars
By toggling both buttons, you have turned on colors almost everywhere possible. Nevertheless, if you want to show color on start, taskbar, and action center but not on Title bars, you just need to turn on the first option and turn on the second option called Show color on title bar to disable it.
Previously, there were some Registry Editor tricks, but now they are no longer working. On the other hand, there is no need to utilize them since Windows 10 Anniversary Update comes with that settings.
